Waterville Rocks! is a new summer concert series taking place in downtown Waterville’s Castonguay Square beginning this July. This series consists of four FREE and family-friendly outdoor music concerts, featuring local, regional, and youth musical acts. It is being hosted by the Waterville Opera House and is sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and patrons of the arts. The series is designed to provide free cultural programming for community members and offers a new way to animate and enliven downtown Waterville. The four outdoor concerts will occur on Thursday evenings from 5:00 to 9:00 PM in Castonguay Square, starting Thursday, July 28.
In the event of rain, all Waterville Rocks! concerts will be performed inside the Waterville Opera House.

Jun 04, 2016. New Dimensions Federal Credit Union invites surrounding community members and car enthusiasts to participate in the second annual Cruisin' for a Cure Car Show. Individuals interested in participating in the car show can register at the New Dimensions FCU branch locations: 61 Grove Street, Waterville, Maine and 72 Cony Street, Augusta, Maine. The Cruisin' for a Cure Car Show will benefit the Maine Children's Cancer Program. Many classes to choose from for entry, People's Choice and Best of Show will be awarded. Steve Colella from 93.5 True Oldies will be on site doing a live radio remote. All monies raised from the event will be directly donated to the Maine Children's Cancer Program located in Scarborough, Maine on behalf of local fundraising legend Mr. Sylvio Normandeau. Show participants pay a nominal registration fee of $10 per vehicle. Event is on Saturday, June 4, with same-day registration from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
