Community Events/Waterville/Taste of Greater
Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce is holding a Taste of Greater! There will be street-side dining, children's activities, live music, food vendors and a beer garden for adults 21 yrs+ from 5PM-11PM. The date is August 3rd, downtown Waterville, from 11AM - 11PM. It sounds like a lot of fun!!! This community is awesome!!!

Waterville Community/Parks and Recreation/Pool
The Waterville Parks and Recreation reopened the popular outdoor water park on June 18th. This is an amazing, and affordable, facility!! It has a 6 lane, 25 meter pool, family swim area, Zero-entry area with "Raindrop", 18" deep kiddy pool with frog slide, 12" deep kiddy pool with "Little Squirts", spray pool with 16 water jets, slide pool featuring Twister and Tube Slide, and a snack bar. Waterville Community Events/Maine International Film Festival
The 14th Annual International Film Festival is coming up again! July 15-24, 2011. The Waterville Opera House is being renovated, so the event will be hald at Given Auditorium at Colby College. (The event will return to the Waterville Opera House in 2012). Full Festival Passes Admits one to all public festival events. Photo ID, nontransferable $200. A Partial Pass: Ten admissions to festival screenings is $85. each. Individual tickets are $9 for adults, $5 for children under 13. Some special events, such as Openings and Closing Nights and the Mid-Life Achievement Award presentation may be more. Individual Tickets will be available online (www.miff.org) or at Festival Venus shortly before show time. Online ticket sales will be limited to 50% of available seating to allow room for pass holders and at-door ticket buyers. Community Events in Waterville/Barrel's Birthday celebration!!!
Barrel's Community Market is an incredible store with Maine made items ranging from fresh milk, cheese, produce, catering, to homemade soaps, pottery, etc. The staff at Barrel's is always friendly and helpful! I just love browsing through this unique store and looking at the wonderful merchandise, and taking in all the different aromas from all natural food to various soothing lotions and oils.
Tonight they have celebrating their 2 year anniversary with Live Music by Tremolino, Dancing, and Local foods tasting. Admission $5. donation (proceeds to benefit Barrels). The festivities go from 5-7PM, so, come on out and enjoy the music and food at Barrel's tonight!

Community Events in Waterville/Women's Initiative
The Women's Initiative hosts a FREE Crafting Circle which meets each Tues & Thurs. fro 11:30AM - 2:30PM in the REM Forum. The Women's Initiative is a new REM project providing an opportunity for women to come together and create a community which encourages and enriches our lives. This is just another example of what Waterville has to offer the people in our community!
